BASW England response to Social Work England's proposed registration fee increase

BASW, SWU & UNISON have jointly written to Social Work England to seek an urgent resolution to ongoing Fitness to Practice delays.

BASW England stands in support of the Autism Alliance's crucial campaign, 'Breaking Point – closing the gap in care for autistic adults in England.'

Having previously supported Shout Out UK’s delivery of political literacy workshops, SWU supports their aim for greater integration of Political Literacy education in England’s national curriculum.

Our focus in this response, on behalf of our members, is on the implications for the social work profession, social workers, and on the potential impact on the children and families served by the profession.

These consultation responses were completed jointly between BASW and SWU and representatives of both memberships.

BASW staff and representatives appeared on a range of media outlets following the National Review's publication.

BASW proactively engaged a range of media outlets, to ensure our profession is represented in national discussions about the future of children’s social care in England.
