I have been a qualified social worker for over 20 years. I am an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) and Best Interest Assessor (BIA). In addition to this I have been practicing as an Independent Social Worker and consultant since May 2015. I regularly undertake assessments and reports for solicitors, private organisations and individuals who require independent reports for the attention of Mental Health Review Tribunals, Parole Boards, and other professional bodies. I have acted as a consultant for local authorities, ICB's, and third sector organisations. I also regularly undertake Independent Mental Capacity Assessments.

I have extensive experience in adult mental health, learning disability, and forensic social work. As an independent social worker, I regularly undertake complex independent social work reports / assessments and I am an expert witness.
