You donβt necessarily have to be a BASW member to join this particular SIG - BUT of course we would love you to be!
β¨If youβre not a BASW member yet please do think about joining. BASW members guide and motivate the work of the UKβs largest professional membership organisation for social work. As a social worker BASW can offer you support, CPD, advice and guidance throughout your career.

π Neurodivergent Student, NQ and ASYE social workers π
A sub-group of the NSW SIG specially for ND students, NQSW and ASYE social workers
A safe community space for neurodivergent (ND) student social workers, ASYE and newly qualified social workers (NQSW) in the UK.
Please note that this group is a safe space for peer support only, and not for CPD purposes.
If you are unsure whether you may join this community, please email Helen Randle on policyadmin@basw.co.uk in the first instance. Many thanks.
Who is it for?
For neurodivergent (ND) student social workers, ASYE and newly qualified social workers (NQSW) in the UK.
What do we do?
It's a student-led safe space to reflect, ask questions, share ideas or whatever is needed! We meet online once a month. A couple of us who are social work educators (and also neurodivergent) facilitate the sessions but essentially it's led by you!
When is it held?
These meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, starting at 6.30pm - but join when you can. We finish around 8 (in ND time, that is, so definitely an approximate!). Please go to BASW Events, search "neurodivergent" and register to attend - we'd love to see you there. βΊοΈ
