Effective Personal and Professional Judgement in Social Work | BASW England Meet the Authors Series
This new Meet the Author series is an opportunity for members and non-members to hear from authors and research in social work.
In this workshop, co-authors Arlene P Weekes and Denise Harvey will discuss their book, Effective Personal and Professional Judgement in Social Work – How Personal Biography Can Affect Professional Effectiveness. We'll hear about their journey in writing the book, why they focused on the importance of personal and professional judgment in social work, and how the knowledge of research and theory can increase self-awareness, understanding of bias and affect decision making. There will be an opportunity for a Q&A session with the authors.
