Social Work Policy Panel - Career resource - shaping your career (an update on the advanced practice framework) - 02 Sep 2025 - SASW
Join this Social Work Policy Panel meeting to hear how what started as an Advanced Practice Framework for Social Work and is now evolving into a Social Work Career Resource focussing on what you as social workers need to build fulfilling impactful careers which are supported through continuous learning.
A resource is envisaged where social workers can access the experiences of others, learn how other social workers are navigating their careers through real examples and reflections.
It is also seen as building on and aligning with other work already out there and emphasising the impact and value workplace learning has in terms of professional development for social workers. Speakers: Iain Ramsay, OCSWA Julie Robb, OCSWA
The panel is jointly run by the Scottish Association of Social Work, the Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser, and Social Work Scotland. The panel was created to bring together experienced frontline workers, newly qualified workers, students and policy makers in Government to address the issues affecting social work today. It is an opportunity to influence those policy makers and the future of social work with your experience and knowledge.
