The Social Workers Union (SWU) invites all of our members and social work colleagues to join us for a one-day conference at the Mechanics Institute in Manchester on September 6th. We welcome social works, NQSWs, social work students and apprentices to join us for this activism themed and solidarity building event.
This event is free to attend and includes lunch, networking opportunities, a CPD Certificate, and refreshments for all attendees.
Entry to this online event is FREE for SWU members and voting facilities will be provided during the meeting.

Registration deadline: SWU members must register by 12pm (noon) on Thursday September 25th to attend this AGM.
This interactive workshop will be chaired by BASW member Valerie Chopamba. We’ll explore how BASW members and student members have used our new Shades of Bias tool and reflect together on how it can be applied to different forms of discrimination in the workplace and in education.
