BASW Cymru were delighted to collaborate with Social Care Wales on ‘Celebrating Social Work’ - two conferences held in Cardiff and Llandudno in late October and early November 2023.
BASW England is consulting with members on the proposals within the Health and Care Bill and the implications for social work. The Health and Care Bill was debated for the first time in Parliament on 14th July 2021 and BASW England has been following developments closely. The proposed changes will impact upon social workers working in and across social care and health.
Wales is in need of a drastically improved social care service. Our nation is facing the serious issue of being unable to meet everybody’s need for adequate social care.
